At Winpenny Photography in Otley, we can restore and preserve the images of your precious 35mm slides and negatives by scanning and saving them on DVD, USB stick or external hard drive.
No more messing about with an unreliable projector, a dodgy screen or passing around an old fashioned handheld viewer.
Slides and negatives can deteriorate easily and often attract mould. The captured images can be colour and exposure corrected, before being either written to disk as a file or edited into a slideshow with captions.
At Winpenny photography in Otley near Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Yorkshire, we have the equipment and expertise to restore and preserve your irreplaceable slides and negatives.
Do you have old slides but no projector or other means of viewing them?
Need your slides transferring to a modern format such as DVD or USB Stick?
Winpenny Photography are experts in the scanning of photographic slides and have the know-how and equipment to preserve old slides.
Individual slides are first scanned and then converted into seperate digital files. They are then 'burned' to a DVD or USB stick, from where they can be viewed individually or played back as a slideshow
Once transferred, you can enjoy them, over again, on your television or computer. Order copies for relatives. You could upload to YouTube or upload backups to Dropbox or Google Drive.
As well as the popular 35mm format, we can also provide a transfer service for rare slide formats such as 35mm half frame, as well as 126 and 127 format, plus larger sizes such as medium format, 5x4" and 10x8".
As well conversion and transfer, we can also provide a restoration service.
This might include removing removing blotches and staines caused by fungus, mildew and moulds.
Images scanned from damaged slides which have been creased, broken or ripped can also be restored.
