Winpenny Photography are experts in the scanning of photographic slides and have the know-how and equipment to preserve old slides.

Individual slides are first scanned and then converted into seperate digital files. They are then 'burned' to a DVD or USB stick, from where they can be viewed individually or played back as a slideshow

Once transferred, you can enjoy them, over again, on your television or computer. Order copies for relatives. You could upload to YouTube or upload backups to Dropbox or Google Drive.

As well as the popular 35mm format, we can also provide a transfer service for rare slide formats such as 35mm half frame, as well as 126 and 127 format, plus larger sizes such as medium format, 5x4" and 10x8".

As well conversion and transfer, we can also provide a restoration service.

This might include removing removing blotches and staines caused by fungus, mildew and moulds.

Images scanned from damaged slides which have been creased, broken or ripped can also be restored.

So how does it work?

After making an enquiry, we will provide you with an estimate of costs for your consideration.

You can bring your slides to our studio in Otley, West Yorkshire or they can be sent to us via Royal Mail or a carrier of your choice.

What about safeguarding?

For peace of mind we highly recommend a tracked and ‘signed for’ delivery.

Don’t worry, we conduct all work ourselves in our own premises and your original copies will not be sent away to any third party service providers.

Having taken details of your requirements, should a query arise we will contact you to discuss it further.

When we have finished, you can collect everything from us or following receipt of cleared payments, we can arrange for the goods to be returned to by secure means at your cost.
